Our son is 7, and has been taking Cortef since he was 2 months old.  When he was about 3 he was switched to the tablet rather than the liquid.  Instead of swallowing his tablet, he chews it!  He always pops it in his mouth and chews it on the left side of his mouth.  He follows it with ONE Tic Tac!  We do this 3 times a day!  He has been having tooth decay problems recently, only on the left side.  Could this be due to the residue left from the Cortef that he chews?  We are now working on learning to swallow the pills, but until then....any suggestions?
