Has your daughter had other tests done such as x-rays or CT Scan?  Has she ever been "cleaned out" with something like Miralax to make sure she isnt really "backed up"?  The reason I am asking is that we are in a very similar situation right now with our ten yr old.  Initially it was bad stomach pain and since she has several ovarian follicles we thought maybe it was radiating pain from that.  We found out later from x-rays that she is really not emptying well. 

The stomach pain is intense and comes and goes.  She has been on this Miralax for a couple of weeks and has been emptying well.  It has given her some great relief.  We are still in contact weekly with the G.I. doctor who says if after this course of treatment she is still having the pain then we will possible go the endoscopy route and see what else could be going in.  I tried hard to get her to do that test first.  I have it in my mind that she can only stand this pain for so long before her body gets tired of it but she consults with our endo and they agree she is fine for now.  We have heard that the stomach takes all these steriods pretty hard and its very possible she has some intestinal or stomach damage but only time will tell.
