It’s good to know there is another set of parents out there who know how it feels to have a baby named one sex and then the next day another.  When our daughter was born, they told us she was a boy.  We named him, called the grandparents and friends, and then the next day (14 hr later) the doctor came in and told us that our little boy might be a girl.  It still brings me to tears when I talk about losing our baby boy.  Of course, we love our little girl just as much.     I only wish that the pediatrician would have known well enough to call an endocrinologist.  She only put us in contact with a urologist.  So, 11 days later, while in the urologists office, some blood work was done and that’s how we found out that our baby was deathly ill.   She was hospitalized and diagnosed with CAH.  If only she had seen an endo right away, we would have avoided the adrenal crisis.
