I have 3 sons 2 who have swcah, but I also know that my oldest son does not carry the cah gene simply because we went for genetic counselling and testing after our second son was born with swcah. When I was pregnant with my third son I had  CVS and knew before he was born that he also had it. We were told that there is a 25% that any child we had would have cah,(my 2 youngest boys) 50% chance that any child would be a carrier ( me and my husband) and 25% chance that the child would not have cah or be a carrier( my eldest son).

If you are still unsure I would advise you through your child’s consultant to see a genetic counseller who can arrange testing and therefore put your mind at rest.
