I have 3 sons all born by ceasarean section. My eldest who does not have sw/cah was completly fine at birth, but my other 2 who both have sw/cah were both born with severe breathing difficulties.My youngest was on a ventilator for 11days and they were both given steriods to mature their lungs.

On numerous occasions I have asked different consultants if there was any connection to this and the cah but was told that they did not know of any. I have been told that it was because of how they were delivered and nothing to do with the cah.

I just wondered if any one else had encountered any of these problems or was it just my luck that this happened.

I would like to point out that the boys are 14 & 15 now and cope really well with the cah and fortunatley have no problems with their breathing now
