re: re: Breathing Difficulties at Birth.

They did not have any of the above. The eldest of the two was not diagnosed with cah until he was 2 weeks old and we were told that had we left him another couple of hours he would have died. He was actually just 3 days home from the baby special care unit when he became unwell.

The youngest was diagnosed prenataly but I was not given dexmethasone because it was making me ill. At the time of his birth the doctor told me it came as a suprise to them because they were already to start the treatment for cah but not the breathing difficulties.

I don’t know if there is any connection but it just seems suspicious to me that my eldest son was also born by ceaseran but he had no breathing problems at all but the two with cah had major problems.

Unfortunatly when I have brought the subject up with doctors they don’t know of any connection but they have said they didn’t think so.
