re: Adrenalectomy

An adrenalectomy would change the condition from CAH to Addison’s. There would still be a need for the hormone replacement, but not suppression -- but the treatment would more or less be the same. The worry of undersupression would be replaced with the lost opportunity for a cure, were a method of repairing the adrenal gland ever made a reality. It’s generally not considered worth it.
