Eric B.Yes, 60 mg. is a high replacement dose, but I remain "under-controlled". In other words, to truly have balanced adrenal levels, I would need to take more cortisone. But because of the risks associated with a higher dose, and the fact that my quality of life has been so good for 20+ years, my endo has kept me at this level for quite some time. You remind me that I should get my bone density checked -- last time was 2-3 years ago -- but being the active fellow that I am (I participated in a triathlon 2 years ago), I would be surprised to discover any problems. Regarding puberty, no, I had no CAH control problems. Once my bone age matched my chronological age at 12, life for me was fairly "normal". By the way, I used to worry about my ability to conceive. After genetically testing my wife -- she’s NOT a CAH carrier -- we have readily produced two beautiful, non-CAH boys. Mary, you need not apologize for asking questions. I’m here to help share my experiences in the hope that they may be of benefit to you, and all the other nice folks who visit here. I’ll be happy to answer any other ques. you may have -- Eric
