Why do most affected with NCCAH only start needing treatment at the age of 4-6 years, at puberty or even later and not at birth?  Is it because the disease continues to get more and more sever with the passage of time or is it that as a person grows he starts needing more cortisol and it gets harder for his adrenals to produce enough?
