E.W.I’m Jewish. I got the first phone call about the possibility that my baby has (SW)CAH the day before his (Brit) circumcision was planned for. I asked the hospital doctor who called me with the diagnosis and his regular pediatrician and both agreed that there is no reason I shouldn’t go ahead with the procedure, and that was before he was even on treatment. We went for more thorough testing afterwords and it took another few long and anxious weeks until he was finally officially diagnosed with this disease. My baby did fine with the circumcision and recovered without any incidence just like his older brothers.
Tonya, if you don’t like all the inquires from specialists than why do you even tell them about your children’s condition. No harm will happen if a dentist doesn’t know that they have NCCAH and even if something will go wrong then you have time to tell them later.
