Yes Megan, you are right...my little guy is a SV which is still in the Classical CAH definition but technically does not waste salt like a true salt waster. I say technically because all CAH patients are different and therefore you can have a SV that could present more like a SW or maybe even vice versa. Then you can have a Non Classic who may never need treatment and then there are some that might be borderline SW.

So under Classical CAH (for the 21 hydroxylase) there is : Salt wasting CAH and Simple Virilizing CAH. Then you have Non Classical CAH which can also be called Late Onset CAH.
