I have 2 boys with swcah they are now 15 and 14 years old. The only thing I would tell you is to let your little one lead a normal life. Every bone in your body wants to wrap them up in cotton wool but this is not practical. I used to worry in case they caught infections but unfortunatly this is part of growing up. They have had all their inoculations and were completly fine. They also had chicken pox when they were younger, they caught it from my husband and my eldest son (not cah).
They do all the things that boys their age do, they play football, rugby and other sports.
I would also like to point out that taking their medication is part and parcel of their life and now as soon as they get up in the morning and just before going to bed they automatically take it because this is always what we have encouraged them to do.
