HI Brenda:

As a fairly new CAH parent, I felt that there was a lot of basic information given that was very easy to follow.  It was not so much new infomation but it was presented in such a way that it was easy to understand and we could pass the information along to family and friends.

Dr. New spoke to us about the history of the work she has done.  She also shared with us some very exciting new testing she is doing with gene therapy where she can replace the gene and turn a CAH patient into a carrier (with no more medicine needed).

We learned about behavioral aspects of CAH, reconstructive surgery options, and CAH/NCCAH in women of reproductive age.  We also talked about the newborn screening process and what California residents can do to get this passed in our state.

It was very nice getting to meet other parents and talk to other people face to face who truly understand what you are going through.

Thanks,

Kristin
