Hi Heather,

It’s really hard to compare the dose of those with CAH for different factors.  Those with CAH do make some cortisol and that amount is a factor, so are weight and metabolism.  My daughter is on 2.25 mg per day at age 3 1/2, she weighs 38 pounds and is about 3’ 3 1/2".  With that said, when she was 4 months old she was on 7.5 mg as a tiny baby.  We switched endos and the new one immediately put her on 3 times a day (instead of twice) and lowered her dose.  She started showing less signs of oversuppression.  then we went to 4 times s day and even less dosage with the circadium rhythm dosing.  This has worked best for her and has allowed us to lower her dose.  I guess I’d wonder what her levels show, and if she has any oversuppression symptoms: chubby face, weight gain or slow growth, sleeping less, cranky....among others.  Good luck with this.  Julia
