Heather,

I have a seven month old daughter with SWCAH.  She is also on 7.5mg of Cortef a day so I don’t think that you need to be worried about the amount she is getting. When she sees her endo make sure that he/she gives you info on your daughter’s hormone levels and percentile as far as weight and height - this will help you determine if she is getting too much medicine.  Your daughter’s endo should always give you this info at every appointment - which should be every three months or so at this age.

My daughter does not really have certain times of the day when she is fussy - only at night when she is worn out.  I think it just depends on the child and how they react to their condition and medication.  Each child is different - good luck!
