re: getting meds. on time
Nov. 7th, 2003   10:30am

Hi April,

My son is 7 years old with SWCAH. I give him his meds at 7:30 before he goes to school and then the school nurse gives him afternoon at 2:00 and he gets his night dose at 8:00 thats bedtime. It is about 5 or so hrs apart. It is really hard to give 8 hrs apart since hes in school. Talking with my endo that he has had since birth tells me that the 1st does with the florinef is the most so the second dose can wait until 4:00 when he gets home and then the 8:00 dose is ok. I didn’t like giving the dose at 4:00 and 8:00 felt it was too close. But, what I have found out in the 7 years is that as long as I keep him on a schedule and give him his meds at the exact same time each day or as close as I can his labs always come out great! Hope this helps.
