My 4 year old SW CAH had his tonsils, adnoids, and tubes last January. He had the surgery in the morning and was home by lunch time. It does take about 10-14 days to recover from the tonsils. I did force feed him liquids, literally one tsp. at a time, but that is what it took. I must say his health is significantly better, no more runny nose, no more sinus infections, and no more ear infections. I was skeptical about the tonsils, as I have read it does not help kids from getting sick, but my experience has been it has helped a lot.
