As someone with SimpleVirilizing CAH, I’ve had three Endos suggest the need for knowing how to use the Solu-Cortef shot. One also told me about the need for taking extra cortisone when I have a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea.

I’ve had mild colds and vomiting and it’s been no big deal but when I don’t have enough cortisone in my body to help me fight off the physical illness because it’s a stonger strain then it is a different story. The vomiting is out of control, my body is so weak that I can’t move ----It’s like a clock that has run down. When I don’t have enough hydrocortisone, the tip off is the color of my face because it develops a chalky, grayish white pallor. I live in Florida and my natural completion is rosy with a tan underneath.

Each person is different and I agree with all the above posts. Knock on the computer desk wood but even with CAH, I’ve never considered myself a sick person because of it.
