DNA Testing
Nov. 12th, 2003   4:44pm

We are trying to coordinate DNA testing for our son... I got a call from the genetic counselor today and he says that after speaking with the lab, they’ve decided to analyze only his DNA, and not mine or my husband’s.  I guess my questions is, how important is it to know which mutation he got from whom?  Are there different combinations that could result in future pregnancies, or would any CAH children we have only have the mutations that Gavin does?  I don’t know if I should push for an analysis for the two of us as well, or if just knowing my son’s will give us all the info we’d need.

Thanks in advance,
