JeanneMy 9 year old daughter had an appointment with her Pediatrician last week who said she was obese. She is 49" tall and weighs 68 lbs. She is active in gymnastics, (twice a week), basketball, (twice a week) and is always very active. She eats nutrional food most of the time. (She doesn’t eat junk food-she only had a couple of packages of Skittles from her Halloween Candy and gave the rest away!) Over the past year she has gained about 15 lbs and has grown 3". My endo tells me now to worry and that she is following her growth chart. The endo changed her dosages on Cortef and Florinef last year because her numbers were way off due to her having: chicken-pox, pnemonia, and numerous strept throat episodes. The strange thing is that she only has gained weight in her stomach and no where else. Do you think she is getting too much Cortef or does all CAH children gain weight only in their stomach area? Her waist is 26" and she is tiny everywhere else? HELP!!!!
Do you think
