I have been on different combinations dosages of Cortef and Florinef for my life until 19. Then my doctor was getting old and ready to retire so I was basically seeing the dept. of endocrinology at UM.
They immediately switched me to Prednisone, then I had the blood test and that didnt work, then I was switched to Dexamethasone.
I went to see my lifetime doctor for one last time before he retired and complained about sleeplessness, sweating, itching, from the dexamethasone and he switched me back to Cortef (my original dosage 35mg/day).
My problem is the following, that ever since being on dexamethasone, I am experiencing the same side effects even though I have been taking cortef for 3 months again. Does anyone know if this is normal, or how long it will take to go away? And if you know anything about the medical profession, is it allowed for the same department to be switching around my medications with differing opinions?
Please help because ever since I started seeing these other doctors, all these side effects have popped up and I need to do something about it.
