Not enough progress
Nov. 16th, 2003   12:46pm

It’s being about a month since we started treatment for my son again and even though we are seeing a considerable difference in his growth and behavior things aren’t developing as quick and efficient as we were hoping it would.  He had a nice growth spurt right at the start and also he became more alive and active instantly but he is still way behind and progress seems to be almost inconspicuous now.  I compared him to other babies and came to the conclusion that at the point where we are now nearing his first birthday he is the size of about a seven month old and his physical and occupational skills are at the five to six month old level.  Does slow progress seem normal here?  I’m starting to dread that the loss that occurred in that long period when he was off treatment will be a permanent one and he’ll always be a few stages behind.  I’m frantic and worried.  Does anybody have an idea what I could expect?
