On the CARES web page, click on adrenal crisis to find information about Medical IDs.  You can see pictures of the sports bracket.  It is great for infants because it is soft material and only $7.00 or so. And you can write the medication and doctors information on a water proof paper insert. The 1-800 medical alert ones would seem like a delay in treatment. 

Also read about the emergency letter!!!! Flu season is coming up and be careful with illness and fevers.  Fever can kill your CAH child.  Always have the solu-cortef on hand.  If your child has a fever IMMEDIATELY triple the oral dose and get the fever reduced with 30 to 45 minutes.  For a high fever 102 - give the injection immediately.  Give it before going to the hospital.  So many CAH kids have died because the parents thought the hospital would be able to help them in time and they died in the ER tables or in the waiting room.
