Was wondering if some of you would share their childrens’ Solu Cortef injection dosage for emergencies.  What my doc is telling me doesn’t seem right and I wanted to check it out. Also, if any of you keep Dex on hand, what is the dose on that for emergencies. My kids are 1 year old and weight 23 and 14 pounds.

p.S. My doc is telling me 2 times their normal dose of Cortef for the whole day (so the daily dose of Cortef is 7.5 mg, so the emergency injection would be 15 mg of Solu Cortef? My vial of Solu Cortef is 100 mg, how do I figure that one out? Kelly Leight told me that isn’t right bc you can’t convert Cortef to Solu Cortef like that, but I thought while I was waiting for my doc to call back, I would post and see what you all could tell me.
