Hello, this is my first time on this site.  I was born with CAH 21 Hydroxylase exactly 61 years ago.  I was also born a twin, who sadly, has this disease.  I too felt different from other people.  I have an older brother who does not have this  disease. Unfortunately, no one ever explained to me the nature of my disease or the side effects of taking prednisone. As a result I failed to take proper care of myself, and did not understand the dangers I faced when I became ill.  Now, after all these years, my sister and I have done our own research (NORD site) and learned much about what made us "tick" as it were.  We compare our health problems and they seem to run along the same lines.  We are both on medical disability because of physical and psychological problems, confusion, learning difficulties,  depression (I’m Bi-Polar)  and a host of other problems.  As a result I feel as if I could never  reach my potential, and have  had life long difficulties living up to the expectations of others.  I could not mount the stresses that life presented  to me not realizing that this is also a stresses related disease.  I guess you could say I feel sorry for myself, because of not being able to do better in life.  But my question is , am I alone, or are there others out there who have felt the same way I have and what health problems have you encountered over the years?  Your friend Rose...
