Danny CarltonEveryone lives with problems. Some big, some small. The thing about CAH is that the CAH itself will produce emotional ups and downs that will make the problems feel worse. Sometimes it’s the meds, sometimes it’s just the CAH, but depression and anger are symptoms. But the good news is that it can be controlled. Chemically/hormonally produced emotions can be defeated by simply realizing what they are, and where they came from. Once you’ve done that most of the battle’s won.
Regardless of what we’re given in life, it can be turned to good, if it isn’t there already. Who knows, maybe had you been able to go to those raves, we’d be hearing about you as another sad death from accidentally xtc overdose that’re on the news waaay too frequently. Each of us are given the tools we need to do wonderful things in life, we just need to find out how we use them, and where they need to be used.
The purpose of life isn’t to procreate. We have some friends that aren’t able to have children. They’ve now adopted four children, three of them special needs children, and are as happy as can be.
I feel sorry for all those people who grow up "normal". They don’t have the opportunity to learn as quickly what’s really important in life. They waste their time on trivial things, and when they finally do figure it out, there are so many years behind them, gone. It’s hard, but people who grow up with challenges learn early what life is really all about, and can dive into the important stuff sooner. In the end, you’ll be the one better off and all those kids throwing their lives away at raves will be the disadvantaged ones.
