TriciaI do not feel that we are put on this earth to solely reproduce. I belive that there is much more to BEING than this. But since you brought it up, I know that there are many that would disagree but for me sex is secondary to the feeling of being held and holding and the sense of security that it brings. With my husband we have gone through my mistrusting and feelings of insecurity (and his) over and over again and he is still here, and I honestly believe will still be here for as long as we live. Sappy? yeah, but true.
I was brought up with the same sense of sex being weird and wrong but somewhere deep down I knew that this was wrong. . . how can you be taught that we are put on this world to procreate but then be told that it is wrong? Logically it makes no sense which would make me question the correctness of that train of thought. I know that it is hard to forget your lifes teachings but to find yourself and figure out what you do believe about what you were taught and what you disagree with is part of finding the strength in you to be YOU and accepting who you are. I have learned in my years of speaking with others of different beliefs that they all have some kind of differences with their religion but have chosen what MOSTLY fits them.
You will figure all this out. But sometimes figuring it out means going beyond what we are taught.
