Not everyone scared her off...but I think there was judgement on her for being young and wanting to enjoy herself.  I have been to raves in my day.  Maybe they are different now, but I thoroughly enjoyed them.  I love to dance and that is what they are about.  Yes, there are drugs but you do not need to be on drugs to enjoy yourself the atmosphere lends itself to being free and real with other people...not lured sex.
