I have heard that there is no reason why steroids can’t be administered the same way.  It all boils down to $$$.  Return on drug manufacturers investment.  Not that there is anything wrong with that, but if CAH sufferers had a foundation and could raise lots of money for research for things like cortef/prednisone patch development, then maybe we could get somewhere.  But since users of long-term steroids is so rare (relatively speaking), a steroid patch will probably never be developed.
