I guess the possible risks of being untreated depend upon if your daughter actually has CAH or not. Since she has done well for 3 years, if she has CAH I am assuming she has late onset CAH which is milder than classical CAH. I would keep a careful eye on her though if she was sick, vomiting, diarrhea, or high temperature. If she has CAH she would not produce enough cortisol to fight the illness and could become very ill. Watch for signs of lethargy when ill and get to an emergency room immediately. I must go now. Julia
