I weaned off the dex really slowly. I think it was close to four weeks. Then we I had a cesarean at birth (my second was planned since he was 10lbs) I took a dose of dex through the IV. My doctor was very concerned that although I was already weaned off that my body still might need the stress dose. That dex was really strong; I was really glad to wean off it. My only side effects were weight gain and nothing tasting good until I got off it (I was fortunate). My best to you.
