I was just thinking to what extend an elevated 17ohp at birth can tell the final diagnosis of how sever a baby with CAH presents.  Does an higher 17ohp say something about a child being more likely to present as a salt waster or is there just as good a possibility for a baby with a 17ohp of 9000 at birth to be a simple virilizer while another baby who had a 17ohp of 3000 will present as a salt waster?
