WolverineDear Sandra,
I was born with SVCAH and my uneducated guess is that the headaches and dizziness are related to low cortisol in the morning. I like to think of it as all the engines aren’t firing as they should into our dose of cortisol kicks in.
I can remember sitting in first period English class with a headache and the room spinning out of control, the teacher was really nice about it and she would let me put my head down. I wanted to share about something that helped me and maybe it might make things a little easier for someone else. The headaches and dizziness will be there but you can manage your environment : ) I found it helpful when I reached middle school and high school to take study hall or something like art for my first period class. Then as the day went on, I felt better and paid more attention in the classes that I really needed unless I decided to skip them. I wasn’t an angel (lol). Also, I found the same concept worked for me in college. Morning classes were impossible at times with being dizzy and having a headache but classes a little later in the day were fine because by then the headache and dizziness had subsided. On a positive note, the dizziness and headaches lessened overtime.
Best Wishes,
Aimee
