You want to make sure that the surgery they’re recommending is actually necessary and not cosmetic. Some doctors don’t explain that too well, and some parents oppose cosmetic surgery on infants for various reasons. Get all the info, and don’t let the doctor push you into something that’s not medically necessary, unless it’s really what you think is best for your daughter.
