re: Does CAH cause hyperactivity?

My son Ryan is five now and I am a preschool teacher. I have seen my fair share of behavior from very quiet children to hitting or calling me names. I feel that Ryan is a normal child. Every child has their tantrums and so on. I have never blamed CAH for any of his behavior or moods. He does not get special treatment unless he is ill. I am not saying that someone elses child with CAH does’nt have mood swings or hyperactivity, but I know Ryan compared to other children at school is quite normal. His brother Kyle on the other hand is a terror. He throws fits at 15 months and if he can’t reach it he will find a way to climb on something to get to it. I find it very interesting to hear these other experiences. I feel lucky that he is a good boy learning to make friends and riding his bike for fun. I just hope I can keep up the energy to stay on top of Kyle, his behavior is what I am hoping to change.
