From my own experiene, I have adrenal adenomas. A 22cm tumor is considered to be extremely large. Mine are 3cm and 3.2cm. My Endocrinologists have recommended that when they reach 4cm they should be removed because if they get to 4cm the chance of them turning cancerous greatly increases. How was his tumor discovered? Are you sure it is 22cm (about 9inches) or is it 22mm ( under an inch)? Please let us know how he makes out.Less than 4cm is usually benign, but requires watching.Good Luck. I will be thinking of you.
