louise f.after a very scary 3 day stint in the icu, my 12 day old son has been diagnosed with salt-wasting cah. his potassium was 11.8 and sodium was 114 upon arrival into the icu. was having major ekg changes. we are home now for 2 days and the doc. prescribed hydrocortisone 3x/day and florinef .1mg once a day initially. his florinef dose has now increased to .2mg/day b/c his potassium was 7 and sodium was 133, significantly worse than when he was discharged 2 days ago. is this common and is that florinef dose ok??? we are overwhelmed right now and appreciate any reassurances out there! this seems like an awesome resource. thank you!!!
