the tumors were diagnosed by ultrasound and cat scans.  the 22 cm tumor is so large that it is displacing his kidney.  The size of the tumors is also causing considerable pain.  the doctors are all baffled and amazed by the size as well as the fact that he has gone 15 - 20 years without treatment.

it is all very scary.
