re: Weight Training

Several years ago (ok - 1996) I was taking a class called "PE for Elementary Teachers" and one night we were doing relay races, etc (we were doing everything we would possibly be teaching our students) and at the time I was on .25 of Dex. Well - it was too much for me - my cortisol got too low (didnt know about stress dosing at the time). I came home, went to bed - during the night I couldnt sleep - had a terrible headache - by morning was heading for the hospital with an adrenal crisis. Four days later I came home. So for me I dont dare do a lot of exercise without stress dosing.

Anne-Marie - I do believe that we can work ourselves up to more and more exercise with less and less extra steroids though. I have been doing some weight training at the gym - that doesnt bother me as much as cardio (I dont take extra steroids at the gym - and I get my heart rate up to 162 which for my age is considered cardio training from what I’ve read - but I’m only at the gym for an hour) its the hiking for  extended periods ( four or five hours or more) that gets me and I need to stress dose for - especially with a good elevation gain (200ft+).

PS Anne-Marie - when are we going to see another pic of you? I’m curious to see the metamorphosis!
