KayeHi Laura,
I have a 2 1/2 yo female SWCAH. She used to sweat at night when she was much smaller, but I notice now that the sweating is not as bad as before. As a matter of fact, I would say that it is minimal, she sweats a spot on her pillow like her older sister does from time to time. I will also risk saying that some of my girls pillow "sweat" problems stem from VERY thick hair.
She has rarely slept under a blanket, and is much warmer than my four year old, kicking off blankets and sleeping in only a tee shirt while my other one is nestled deep down in her bed and I have not experienced her waking because she is too hot or sweaty.
As an infant she was a very hot child, she could never tolerate anything with feet in them either. Her crib was right by a window (ancient, decrepit single paned windows that the ice would sneak up inside), and I would bundle her up, throw blankets on her only to find her soaking wet. When all clothing but an undershirt and diaper were left on her, fan going and no blankets would she sleep. I would get up to feel her and her skin would be warm as the sun. Meanwhile, we were in sub-zero gear to get through the night!!! :)
