Megan - you are so right! I remember telling an endo about 7 year ago that I hated taking Dex at .5 a day because it made me put on weight - he thought I was crazy - well turns out it did and the dose was too high for me too. I sometimes end up stress dosing right before my period because my progesterone levels get so high and I usually get a migraine - feel like absolute crap, tired, etc and it does help - well - I did that two days ago - and my gosh - I felt better - but just about ate up the house. I stress dosed again today (get my period tomorrow) and the same thing - wanted to eat like a fiend (Ist day back teaching after Christmas break and 4 snow days on top of it). Well - tonight I did end up going to the gym (did day before yesterday too) and I felt better - but wow!

Its amazing how too little cortisol also makes me anorexic - been on that end too where I was losing all this weight and didn’t know why (I do now). I remember one endo I had years ago that I went to see about anxiety I was having. He had no clue that it was linked to CAH and didnt help me at all - I had to find that one out on my own - I’ve had problems with anxiety since early childhood (afraid to sleep away from home until 4th grade, etc) and until I got on steroids would wake up in the middle of the night in a panic sometimes, had lots of scary dreams (LOTS). No one said anything about anxiety to me being linked to CAH - I figured that one out when I started comparing notes with other people who had CAH - almost ALL of the women my age have suffered with it at one time or another - as well as lot of us have depression (I tend to get depressed every once in a while - but not all the time when my levels are good) Interesting when we all get to talking what we find out we have in common....
