Both of my boys 17-OHP have been below 1,000 when sent to CA lab, I do the drawa AM prior to meds, and both of the 17-OHP were well over 4,000. The Endo even called the Mayos labe to make sure the reference values were the same. Anyway to make a long story, and Dr. visit, short. My older son had some other evlevated levels and clinical maifestations, of which I was aware, so they did increase his cortef, my youngest though checked out fine, anderstindione(sp?) and clinical check, so they kept his meds the same. We will send the labs back to CA this time and the future just to make sure we are comparing apples to apples. I m going to the endo this month, we will see.
