re: meds for acid reflux

I have a 7 year old swcah, who as a child was taking propulsid for his acid reflux, the cortef really tears the stomach but he eventually out grew it and was taken off the med.  I want to warn parents who give liquid cortef to their children, tyler would get it at midnight, 8 am and 4 pm. the midnight dose would sit on his gums all night and eventually rotted his teeth and at age 5 had to have surgery to repair his decayed teeth, so please rinse your childs mouth after meds.  When tyler got on the pill form of cortef he was doing alot better because the liquid was not stable and he was sick all the time, it seemed we lived in the hospital.  tyler too was small as a child and we were very concerned, he was in the 20th percentile for height and weight but now at age 7 he is in the 75th percentile for height and weight, so dont worry your child will catch up.
