I posted months ago, but new concern now! My 4.5 year old daughter was diagnosed with LOCAH in Feb (03) due to traces of early pubic hair and a bone age of 6-8 years. Tests showed 17-OH be 900 (extremely high according to endo) She started taking Cortef to bring 17-OH to normal and to slow bone maturation. At the last exam, 17-OH was down to 110. However, the second bone age series (performed this month) showed that of a 10 yr old. I am very concerned and disappointed. Was I wrong to have assumed bone growth would be less than that since 17-OH was normal? Endo wants to do further tests, but not until March. He is at Scottish Rite/Atlanta and is very hard to see without appt. weeks in advance. What is the chance of getting her growth under control? Are there any specific questions I should ask at the next appt? I feel like an idiot for being so upset, but it seems her bones are growing rapidly in spite of the medication. Help!rachel
