My son is 12months and had tubes in Nov 2003... He is also DI ... We admitted him the night before ... He went on a IV so we could keep up his fluids... Just before he went into the OR they gave him a large dose of his pediapred... He did fine with the surgery... It even improved his hearing... He is also blind and deaf... The only problem we had after surgery is that he kept running low grade temps for about 2 weeks... His sodium levels were fine ... So we just increase his pediapred until he was fever free for 24 hours... The reason for the increase was that he would go to bed fine but spike a fever during the night... By keeping his pediapred up we know for sure he would not get into any kind of trouble during the night...

 

I find that my son has days were he sleeps all day... They he will have days when he is bright and alert... Dose your son have sleepy days???
