Congratulations!  Like you, I got pregnant with our 2nd daughter just after we had celebrated the oldest’s 1st birthday.  We were shocked!  Since you cannot do the amnio or CVS until later, you start the dex as soon as possible and then wait for the tests to be done and results to come in (if you are going to take dex).  I did take dex and had a very positive experience.  If you wait to do all of the tests and get the results before starting dex, it will be too late.  Our second daughter who is ssw cah was not virilized in any way.  Like I said, it was very positive for all of us.  Best wishes to you and your growing family!  :)
