I use a pill crusher and then add about 1/8 tsp of grape pedialyte.  I draw it up in a med. syringe and give it.  My 3 month baby actually likes it.  Also if she spits up I can tell easier if it is the medicine or mile because of whether or not it smells like grape and is a little purple.
