Steve, I was wondering what type of CAH do you have and when did your Endo diagnose you?

Brenda, when you write about side effects I was wondering if you could elaborate on that? For example, many people are depressed but they still work. Is your depression so bad that it keeps you from holding a job? If this is what is happening have you recieved help in the form of therapy or anti-depressants?  Also, If you could go into more detail about any other side effects that would be great.

I guess, I just don’t understand and want to know where the both of you are coming from. I have CAH and I would never consider it a disability even with the adrenal crisis or all the surgery to make me acceptable to people but I would like to understand why others are looking to get SSI for CAH.  I spent way to much of my childhood being jerked around by the medical establisment to ever again want to spend anymore time than I have to with those people. Doctors, Social Workers and the like? No way. I do have one side effect from CAH and that is anger but I fuel all that energy into working six days a week.

Thanks,

Kim
