Whenever proper treatment wasn’t practiced for my son, he surfaced with very sever rashes which always improved once that period was over.  Allergies are common in our family, so I am thinking that the extra cortisone was doubling to clear another problem.  Interestingly, ever since we started supplementing with sodium chloride his eczema is also worsening.  He is doing much better on the extra salt and I’m sure he needs it, but it seems like he is allergic to it.   

There are some autosomal recessive diseases where the good gene is not all the way dominant and the recessive gene is having some influence.  Carriers of conditions like Sickle Cell or Gaucher are often mildly affected.
