When my 2 boys were babies and needed to take sodium, I used to take 1 ounce of their formula put it in a small feeding bottle added the sodium and then I gave them this before the rest of their feed. Usually because they were hungry they took it without any problems. Doing this meant that I knew that they were getting the correct dose of sodium and if they did not finish the milk in the large bottle it did not really matter.
